The Pastor is available to all members of Bethlehem Baptist Church for weddings. Any member being married must participate in "Premarital Counseling." This helps examine, under gird, and reinforce readiness to take and to keep the sacred COVENANT vows of marriage. PLEASE HELP US BY OBSERVING THE FOLLOWING: Call the Pastor to schedule a "Premarital Interview" at least 9 months before your projected wedding date. You and your betrothed must attend four (4) sessions. Assuming that all things are in order after the Pastoral interview and premarital sessions, your wedding date will be scheduled on the Church calendar for a secured date. At this time, you will be informed about any fees and given guidance regarding facility use. |
|
Upon the death of a member who is to be memorialized at the Church, please call the Pastor immediately. By calling before you make plans with your funeral director, you will find that pastoral guidance and support will save you errors in judgment, which are likely during this crisis time. Bethlehem Baptist Church will assist in any planning and programming of the service that is necessary. |

We believe that a child must be trained and guided in the ways of Jesus until he/she understands and is able to make a quality decision to personally accept Christ as Savior. However, as an act of faith, we dedicate babies to the Lord (1 Samuel 1. 1 1-28). We stand in agreement with Godly parents and Godparents to form a circle of love and training around the child's life. We suggest any baby dedications be conducted at least six months after the infant's birth. To have your baby dedicated, please see the Church Clerk at least one month to put you on the Church calendar. It is extremely important that the family understands the significance of the Promise being made before God therefore; we ask that the parents and Godparents attend one counseling session prior to the Christian Dedication service. |
|
If you or a relative are hospitalized and are in need of a visit or any assistance, we ask you to first contact your family deacon and/or the Pastor. We also ask that you would notify the Church Clerk so that the Pastor and other appropriate persons of the Church can be informed and be prayerful. |

Any person wishing to unite himself or herself with Bethlehem Baptist Church must join by Baptism, letter, Christian experience, or Watchcare. A person coming into the Church for the first time is received as a candidate for baptism. They are received upon the public profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord of their life. When a person joins by letter they come to Bethlehem Baptist Church as a member in good standing from another Baptist church. Bethlehem Baptist Church will contact the church where the person presently has their membership and will notify them of the person's intention to change their membership. When a person joins by Christian experience, they come to Bethlehem Baptist Church as a member of another church of the Christian faith. When a person joins by Watchcare, they come to Bethlehem as member of another church of Christian faith with the understanding that he or she will practice Bethlehem Baptist Church's mission statement and adhere to the doctrinal statement of the Church. We accept persons joining via letter, Christian experience, and Watchcare based on their personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ. If a person comes from a church or religion of non-Christian faith, they must join Bethlehem by Baptism. |
